TVD will be presenting their revolutionary DryVac dewatering and drying technology, at IWEX, the largest UK event for the water and wastewater industry and part of Sustainabilitylive! (20-22 May 2008, NEC, Birmingham), the UK’s most comprehensive forum for excellence and innovation in the water, environment, energy and land sectors.TVD seeks to provide a safe, simple, flexible and cost effective solution to the treatment and disposal of waste streams - in a single operation involving two stages, liquid waste is first mechanically dewatered and then dried. Based on filter press technology with specially adapted filter plates, there are several DryVac installations worldwide working in a range of applications including municipal and industrial bio-solids, metal hydroxides, pigments and food waste. Although primarily aimed at organic and inorganic liquid waste in the form of sludges and slurries, the technology is able to process any material than can be successfully pumped into the filter press.
